Dr.
Ferris... An Introduction:
In March
of 2010, Dr. Aslam was joined by Dr. Samuel J. Ferris. Dr. Ferris
was a prominent New Orleans Cardiologist with over 10 years of
experience in invasive cardiology before moving to the Houston area.
Dr. Aslam and Dr. Ferris first met during fellowship training at
Tulane University Medical School at which time they both received
excellent training in invasive cardiology.
Dr. Ferris
specializes in invasive cardiology, performing a wide variety of
both inpatient and outpatient procedures. During his time in New
Orleans he participated in numerous clinical research drug trials,
which he plans to continue with Northwest Houston Heart Center. Dr.
Ferris is board certified in both cardiology and internal medicine,
and is a Fellow of the American College of Cardiology.
Education: BA from Amherst College, MD from
Tulane University Medical School. Internship and Internal Medicine
Residency training at Vanderbilt University Medical School, and
Cardiology Fellowship at Tulane University Medical School.
